This sail was damaged beyond repair in a gale off Haro strait. She was named by her initial owner after the fishing village of Clovelly in the UK. The current owner has owned her since January 2014 and has used her primarily for coastal cruising. Clovelly has sailed throughout the Gulf Islands, The San Juans, the Broughtons just to name a few. Her previous owners have sailed her off shore, as she is an amazing blue water vessel.

The Hans Christian 33 was designed by Harwood Ives and introduced in 1980. She is the smallest in the family of sturdy double-enders by Hans Christian Yachts. Like all boats from the Hans Christian line of that era, the HC33 is a heavy displacement double-ender, solid and seaworthy. She oozes the traditional feel with extensive use of teak inside and out.

She was one of the more innovative boats at her introduction with an internal layout that utilized every nook and cranny that even today has yet to be surpassed.

Under sail, she's sea kindly without the tendency to bounce or bob over waves. In all, oly 155 of the boats have been produced.
